Here are my thoughts on how it would work:
- Have "X" amount of "Queen Bee's" who would:
- Be in charge of a designated month, rotating through all of the Queen Bee's each month.
- Pick a block style and size, color scheme, theme, or whatever guidelines you want to give for your blocks for the month, and let everyone know (i.e., write up a blog post).
- Once you receive the blocks for the month, piece and quilt them, and donate the quilt.
- Post pictures of the finished quilt.
- Have the same tasks as the "Worker Bee's".
- Have "X" amount of "Worker Bee's" who would:
- Make 1-2 blocks per month based on the quidelines of the Queen Bee in charge for the month.
- Fabric used will be from your own stash and you will be in charge of mailing them by the end of the month.
- Post pictures of your blocks, either linking them up on this blog, (or you can email them to me and I can post them if you don't have a blog) or sharing them in a flickr group (which does not yet exist).
That is all the ideas and guidelines I have at this time.
Would you like to join me? Do you have ideas or input for how to set this up, or ideas about the guidelines?
